Calligrams!

As part of cultural week, we made calligrams in English class. Here is a Powerpoint presentation with some of Sixth Level's visual poems!

USA Presentations

The Sixth Level classes made Powerpoint presentations and spoke to the class about the USA. Each student had his or her own state to present to the entire Sixth Level. The students researched about their states and made presentations with photos and text. Here are the presentations so you can see them!

Halloween Cookies

In fifth level, we made Halloween cookies! We used milk, flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder and butter. We prepared the batter and spread it on the table with the help of the rolling pin. After that, we used the cookie cutters to make the cookie shapes. Sometimes the cookies were hard to get out of the batter! Then, we took the cookies to the kitchen and voila! We had Halloween cookies.

Here are some photos from the classes:

Halloween Time at CEIP Reixac

We made jack-o'-lanterns in 6th level on Friday, October 30th. We split into four groups and we carved the lanterns with the help of our teachers Isabel and Steve.

First, we cleaned and dried the outside of each pumpkin.

Then, we drew a line around the top and we cut it out. We saved the stem to use later.

Then, we scooped out the pulp and seeds with a spoon. It was a little messy!

After that, we drew the faces on the pumpkin with a marker.

Next, we cut out the features with a knife, and we lit a candle and put it inside.

It was a very fun experience and we learned all the steps we needed to carve our jack-o'-lanterns.

Here is a slideshow of some of our pictures from the event:
